10 posts of Assistant Professor Grade-II (on contract) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, covering all fields of CSE. Reservation: Unreserved 6, EWS 1, SC 1, OBC 2.

Eligibility

Essential qualification: a PhD (awarded) in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology or other allied areas, with a first class in all preceding degrees. The area of specialisation is stated as all fields of CSE. The Institute is an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of Parliament and operates under the Public-Private-Partnership model of the Ministry of Education, and currently offers B.Tech. programmes in Computer Science and Engineering. Upgradations are as per the Recruitment and Retention rules of the Institute.

Application Fee

A non-refundable application fee is payable online at the time of final submission: Rs. 2,000 for candidates other than SC, ST and PwD; Rs. 1,000 for SC and ST candidates; no fee for PwD candidates. In addition, the candidate must send a hard copy of the filled application, downloaded from the portal and duly signed on all pages, so that it reaches the Institute before 18 September 2026, at Indian Institute of Information Technology Agartala, P.O. NIT Agartala, Barjala, Jirania-799046, Tripura. Candidates in government service whose No Objection Certificate cannot reach in time are required to bring one at a later stage as described in the notification.
