58 Senior Resident Doctor posts in total, updated against the rolling advertisement. Department-wise: Anaesthesiology 8, General Medicine 9, General Surgery 4, Obstetrics and Gynaecology 4, Surgical Oncology 4, Neurology 3, Paediatrics 3, Radiodiagnosis 3, Neurosurgery 2, Pathology 2, Radiation Oncology 2, and one post each in Anatomy, Burns and Plastic Surgery, Cardiology, CTVS, Dermatology, ENT, Microbiology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Pain and Palliative Care, Pharmacology, Physiology and Urology. Three posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities in the non-surgical departments as per Government of India policy.

Eligibility

Essential qualification: a postgraduate degree (MD, MS or DNB) in the respective subject, obtained after a medical qualification included in Schedules I and II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Candidates holding a qualification included in Part II of the Third Schedule must also satisfy the conditions in Section 13(B) of that Act. Candidates must have satisfactorily completed the compulsory internship after MBBS and must be registered with a State Medical Council or the NMC. Reservation and age relaxation apply as per Government of India norms. Candidates sponsored by the Government of Meghalaya for MBBS, MD or MS programmes with bond obligations are governed by the Mandatory Medical Public Services Policy in lieu of a No Objection Certificate.

Age Limit

45 years. Age is relaxable by up to 5 years for SC and ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them, with relaxation for persons with disabilities as per Government of India norms.

The documents listed include a recent passport size photograph, date of birth certificate (Class 10 certificate), SC, ST or latest OBC non-creamy-layer certificate where applicable, the MBBS pass certificate and MBBS marksheets. This is a rolling advertisement, so vacancies are filled against successive cut-off dates; 7 September 2026 is the second such cut-off. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria at the time of submission, or their candidature will not be considered.
