1 post of Driver, Unreserved, in the establishment of the District and Sessions Judge, Bongaigaon.

Eligibility

Minimum H.S.L.C. passed, and the candidate must hold a valid LMV driving licence issued by the competent authority. The candidate must be an Indian citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India, and must have registered their name with the Employment Exchange of Assam, quoting the registration number and date in the application. Candidates already in government service must apply through proper channel with an NOC from their employer. Suppressing an educational qualification or giving wrong information leads to rejection of candidature and can attract criminal prosecution. Shortlisted candidates are called for a skill test and interview or viva-voce, whose place, date and time are published on the official website. No TA or DA is paid for attending.

Age Limit

Not less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 1 January 2026. Upper age limit relaxation applies as per existing government guidelines. Note that this cap is 40 years, five years lower than the Peon post advertised by the same office on the same day.

Applications are accepted OFFLINE ONLY, in the Standard Form published in Part-IX of the Assam Gazette. Send the completed application either by post, or drop it in the Drop Box kept at the Office of the District and Sessions Judge, Bongaigaon on any working day between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. It must reach the office on or before 5:00 PM on 24 August 2026; applications received after that date and time are not entertained, and the appointing authority accepts no responsibility for postal delay. Address the application to the District and Sessions Judge, Bongaigaon, and write the name of the post prominently on top of the envelope. Enclose self-attested photocopies of all testimonials covering educational qualification, experience where applicable, caste, age proof and Employment Exchange registration, plus 3 recent passport size photographs signed by the candidate on the reverse.
