Eligibility

SSLC (10th standard) pass conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, or an equivalent qualification as notified by Government Circular No. CASU 81 SEVANE 2017 dated 27.02.2018 (CBSE/ICSE Class 10, other state boards’ Class 10, NIOS secondary level, or Karnataka Open School secondary level). Candidates must be able to read and write Kannada. Preference will be given to candidates holding a valid driving licence.

Age Limit

Minimum 18 years. Maximum: General category 35+5 years; Category 2A/2B/3A/3B 38+5 years; SC/ST/Category-1 40+5 years (as on the last date for submission of application), with further relaxation for certain categories (ex-servicemen, persons with disability, widows, etc.) as per government orders.

Application Fee

General category: Rs. 200/-. Category 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B: Rs. 100/-. SC/ST, Category-1 and persons with disability are exempted from the fee. Fee must be paid online only via SBI e-Pay (net banking / credit card / debit card / UPI) through the link on the court website — demand draft, postal order, money order and challan are NOT accepted. The fee, once paid, is non-refundable.

How to Apply

Apply online only through the link on the Shivamogga District Court website. Fill in all required details, upload a scanned photograph (5cm x 3.6cm, under 50kb, .jpg) and signature (2.5cm x 7.5cm, under 26kb, .jpg), pay the applicable fee online, and download the completed application copy for future reference. Applications submitted through any mode other than online will not be considered. Selection is by a qualifying written examination (candidates called for interview in a 1:25 ratio per post based on marks) followed by an interview (10 marks) assessing ability to read and write Kannada and general knowledge.
