Job Summary

Position: Senior Resident (Non-Academic), tenure basis

Vacancies

51 Senior Resident posts across 20 departments, including Anaesthesia 11, General Medicine 3, Nuclear Medicine 3, Dermatology 2, Hospital Administration 2, Anatomy 2, and one post each in CTVS, General Surgery, Medical Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Transfusion Medicine and Blood Bank, and Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, among others. Category-wise the notification records OBC 35, SC 2, ST 6 and EWS 8. A further 2.4% of the total vacancies are horizontally reserved for Persons with Disabilities in the OPH (OL) category. The engagement is a tenure post on contract for a maximum period of three years as per the Central Residency Scheme.

Eligibility

The posts are for Senior Residents (Non-Academic) in the various departments listed. Candidates should hold the postgraduate medical qualification relevant to the department applied for; the notification allows certain cross-specialty routes, for example candidates qualified in Hospital Administration may apply for Senior Resident in Hospital Administration, and candidates qualified in Blood Transfusion may apply for Senior Resident in Transfusion Medicine. Essential qualification, experience and the maximum age limit are all reckoned up to the cut-off stated in the notification. Applicants are advised to satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility before applying. Candidates wishing to apply for more than one post must fill a separate form for each and pay the application fee separately for each.

Age Limit

Not exceeding 45 years as on the date of publishing this notification on the Institute website. The upper age limit is determined as on that date. No age relaxation is available to SC, ST or OBC candidates applying against unreserved vacancies; age relaxation for reserved categories and others applies as per the notification and DoPT instructions.

Application Fee

Rs. 1,000 for Unreserved and OBC candidates; Rs. 500 for SC, ST and EWS candidates; no fee for PWBD candidates. The fee is paid by NEFT in favour of AIIMS Kalyani as set out in the notification. The application fee once remitted is not refunded under any circumstances, and applications without the prescribed fee will not be considered and will be summarily rejected.

Applications are submitted online through the Google Form link published on the AIIMS Kalyani website, and the form is available up to 10 September 2026 at 5:00 PM.
