Salary: Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist and Junior Typist: Rs. 19,900-63,200 (Level-4). Stenographer Grade-III: Rs. 25,500-81,100 (Level-7). Salaried Amin: Rs. 21,700-69,100 (Level-5). All as per the Pay Matrix of the ORSP Rules, 2017, plus the usual D.A. and other allowances admissible from time to time by the Government of Odisha.

Vacancies
19 posts in total. Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist: 10 (ST 4, SC 2, SEBC 1, UR 3). Stenographer Grade-III: 3 (ST 2, UR 1). Junior Typist: 5 (ST 1, SC 1, SEBC 1, UR 2). Salaried Amin: 1 (ST 1). Reservation for women, persons with disabilities, ex-servicemen and sports persons applies per the orders of the Government of Odisha. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease, and the authority reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any time by notice on its official website. Appointments are subject to the outcome of W.P.(C) No. 1273 of 2014 pending before the Hon’ble High Court of Orissa.
Eligibility
Common requirements: a pass in the +3 examination or an equivalent from a recognised university, and a Diploma in Computer Application from a recognised institute. Post-specific additions: Stenographer Grade-III requires a minimum speed of 80 words per minute in shorthand and 40 words per minute in typewriting on a computer system; Junior Typist requires a minimum of 40 words per minute in typewriting; Salaried Amin requires Revenue Inspector Training, and candidates should read the notification’s post-specific clause in full before applying. Selection is by a written examination of three papers – English (100 marks, 2 hours), Arithmetic (100 marks, 1 hour) and General Knowledge (100 marks, 1 hour) – followed by a Computer Science Test (Practical, 100 marks, 1 hour) and a Viva-Voce (45 marks). Candidates must score 35% in each written paper to reach the practical test. The practical cut-off is 50% for general and other categories and 40% for SC/ST. For Stenographer Grade-III and Junior Typist a shorthand and typewriting test is held after the written result, with 0.125 marks per correct word. Recruitment follows the Odisha District and Civil Courts’ Judicial Staff Services (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2008, as amended up to 2026.
Age Limit
Over 18 years and below 42 years as on 01.05.2026. The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved categories in accordance with the rules and orders of the Government of Odisha in force.

No examination fee is chargeable for candidates of any category. Candidates must, however, enclose three self-addressed envelopes each bearing postage stamps of Rs. 60/-.

How to Apply
Applications are OFFLINE ONLY, in the prescribed format given in the notification. Completed forms with the required documents and self-attested copies of certificates must reach the Office of the District Judge, Civil Courts, Kendrapara, PIN-754211 by Speed Post or Registered Post on or before 5:00 PM on 03 August 2026. Applicants may instead drop the form in a closed envelope into the Drop Box kept in the office up to the same deadline. Forms received after 5:00 PM on 03 August 2026 are not entertained and are summarily rejected. Candidates must state clearly which post and which category they are applying under; without that indication the application is treated as Un-Reserved for that post. Applications not meeting the requirements of the advertisement are summarily rejected. Where a large number of applications is received for Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist, Stenographer Grade-III or Salaried Amin, the District Recruitment Committee may shortlist candidates under the 2008 Rules.
