Job Summary

Position: Project Engineer Level 02, Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager Level 01 and Project Manager Level 02 (contract basis)

Salary: Project Engineer Level 02: Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month. Senior Project Engineer: Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 60,000. Project Manager Level 01: Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 70,000. Project Manager Level 02: Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 1,25,000.

6 posts in total, to be filled on contract basis through interview for a smart classroom ICT project: Project Engineer Level 02 – 3 posts; Senior Project Engineer – 1 post; Project Manager Level 01 – 1 post; Project Manager Level 02 – 1 post.

Eligibility

For Project Engineer Level 02, the essential qualification is a full-time B.Tech, BE, MCA, M.Sc or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline – Electronics, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Computer Application, Instrumentation or Physics. Work experience: at least 3 years post-qualification in the relevant field for B.Tech, BE, MCA or M.Sc holders, or a minimum of 1 year post-qualification for M.Tech or M.E. holders. The relevant field of experience covers field-level installation, configuration, testing and commissioning of ICT hardware deployed in smart classrooms – interactive panels, projectors, desktops and laptops, and UPS – with basic troubleshooting of LAN, Wi-Fi and cabling; conducting end-user training, on-site handholding and coordination; preparing training material, attendance and UAT documentation and status reports, with proficiency in MS Office; and coordination with OEMs and vendors. Prior experience in government-funded ICT infrastructure or education-sector projects, training delivery or field coordination is an added advantage, along with good written and verbal communication skills. The senior posts carry correspondingly higher requirements as set out in the notification. The notification states that if more than 20 applications are received for a single vacancy, ERNET may apply further screening.

Age Limit

Project Engineer Level 02: maximum 40 years. Senior Project Engineer: maximum 45 years. Project Manager Level 01: maximum 50 years. Project Manager Level 02: maximum 63 years. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualification and experience is the last date for receipt of applications.
