Office of the District Judge, Nabarangpur
Vacancies
The number of posts may increase or decrease. Reservation for women, ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities and sports persons applies per Odisha government rules. Appointments are subject to the outcome of Writ Petition No. 1273/2014, pending before the Odisha High Court, Cuttack.
Eligibility
Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist
- No additional post-specific skill requirement beyond the common eligibility above.
Stenographer Grade-III
- Minimum speed of 80 words per minute in shorthand and 40 words per minute in typewriting through a computer system.
Junior Typist
- Minimum speed of 40 words per minute in English typewriting through a computer system.
Documents to attach
- Self-attested copy of H.S.C. (or equivalent) certificate and mark sheet, as proof of age.
- Self-attested copies of +2 and +3 certificates and mark sheets.
- Self-attested copy of the Diploma in Computer Application certificate.
- Self-attested copy of certificate showing Odia passed at least to M.E. standard.
- Shorthand/typewriting course certificate (Stenographer Grade-III) or English typewriting course certificate (Junior Typist), where applicable.
- Two original character certificates from two different Gazetted Officers, Medical Practitioners or a Sarpanch.
- Three self-signed passport-size photographs.
- Two self-addressed envelopes affixed with Rs. 60 postage each.
- Caste certificate for SC/ST/SEBC candidates, disability certificate, sports-person ID or ex-servicemen discharge certificate, where reservation is claimed.
Age Limit
Age is reckoned as on 21 September 2026, the last date for receipt of applications. The upper limit is relaxed for reserved categories per Odisha government rules.

How to Apply
Applications are offline only, in the prescribed Form-A given in the notification. No online applications are accepted.
- Download the notification and fill Form-A by hand, in your own handwriting, in block letters.
- Clearly mark the name of the post applied for, in underlined capital letters, on top of the envelope. A separate application is required for each post applied for.
- Attach self-attested copies of all required certificates listed under Documents to attach.
- Send the completed application by speed post or registered post, or deliver it in person during office hours, to the Office of the District Judge, Nabarangpur, Odisha, PIN-764059.
- Ensure the application reaches the office by 5:00 PM on 21 September 2026. Applications received after the deadline are summarily rejected.
Selection is by a written examination (English, Arithmetic and General Knowledge for Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist; a qualifying English paper plus a shorthand/typing skill test for Stenographer Grade-III and Junior Typist), followed by a Computer Science practical test and a viva-voce. The date of examination will be intimated to eligible candidates separately.
